Notes From The Road ... Cast of In The Heights Excited About Tempe Stop

Oh God! Tempe is one of my favorite cities on tour. I have stopped there with shows like CATS and JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. I’ll never forget the first time I saw the theater. It reminded me of a birthday cake in the middle of the desert. The first time I was there, it was VERT HOT. I don’t think I ever felt temperatures that hot. I rented a bike and decided to ride amongst the rocks. WHAT WAS I THINKING?? But the crazy thing is that so much energy was coming from those rocks, I was putting the “pedal to the medal”. I could have biked to Sedona at that rate. LOL
I also like the downtown scene. I usually don’t go out that much but with SUPERSTAR we decided to have a girls night out and we had the best time. I still talk about it.
For those who are maybe undecided about coming to the show, well decide right now. You will get such a pleasure out of the story, the dancing and the music. And for those who have seen me perform before, this will be the first time you’ll see me play a mother. I am still in shock over that. But I am having a blast and I promise you, you will not only have a blast, you will want to go home and call your mother! xoxo Natalie Toro
